As this month quickly comes to an end with 4 days left, I have started on my goals...

Got my workout time in, didn't eat so great but I will work on that.

The iPhone App is almost there...

I started back on the Pa Kua Chuan Manual...

Al Matos

Shifu, I am very proud to be your student and part of the China Hand Kung Fu family. China Hand is like a second home to me. So for your 2014 goals, please don't hesitate to ask for help, whether it's helping in painting, cleaning or finding some bargains for the school. I don't know all my Kung Fu brothers and sisters from the school but I bet if you ask we would all be willing to help you achieve some of those goals. This is our school and we want to help you succeed and also see the school thrive. Alway's your student Al.

Dominick Ruggieri

Thank you Al! And thank you for your generous Chinese New Year gift. I will use to for the school and know just what for....

You are the best!

I also have to add Linda to our Black Sash preparation list. We started Tai Chi 2 Man Combat today. He Tai Chi Jin and Dao are coming along very good.

She even increased her private time to twice a week so she can make her goals. Her efforts are really showing.

This is why I teach. I have very dedicated students.

The iPhone App is released today and ready to go. My son tested out and said it is working great on his iPhone. Download it, check it out and let me know.

The Pa Kua Chuan Manual, just about complete, needing 2 pictures and a final re-over and edit. Then, we are done. another week or so, I can't wait to have this project done. Very exciting!

Just to update, I am slowly meeting my goals. I have finished the front and rear foyers of the Academy with new flooring. It is giving the school a new and fresh entrance that matches the flooring in the rest of the school.

I have a new flat screen TV which has has been mounted to the rear wall - perfect!

I have also completed the Pa Kua Manual! 179 pages, a bit longer than I thought be a great accomplishment.

The Hsing Yi Chuan Manual is started and well on its way with an expected publish date of December 2014. I pretty sure i can do it.

Well, time to get back to class. I will report back very soon with some more progress reports.

I have been eating better, but the grind of lossing weight is difficult. But I persist on. So headway is being made but very slowly.

The Meditation room flooring is done. We picked up a couple other small project like fixing the rear bldg door sill, weather stripping and lock. An unexpected project, but needed to be done.

I found a fountain at Loews and it goes perfect with the school. Worth the wait. The front of the school is bringing many compliments. Especially the flowers Linda planted. Thanks again Linda for that.

Carla, has been promoted and her training goals are being made.

Randy was promoted to his 1st Degree.

Linda is doing well with her training. There is no reason why she shouldn't make her goal of Black Sash by years end.

Carla Navallo

To quote George Peppard from the TV series, A-Team: "I love it when a plan comes together".

Dominick Ruggieri

Well, as the year progresses we are doing well.

I have completed just about all of the Academy projects. And, with special thanks to John, I will not only have the bathroom painted, but totally remodeled. Drop ceiling, new fixtures, recessed cabinet, new flooring, and trim. By month's end, it will be a different place.

Financially, though I have not met my percentage, income is up and expenses have been lowered so that is a good thing.

Going to the Tournament in July was an unexpected event but very positive for all.

Special thanks to Linda for keeping up the gardening and social director activities. I have to say she has really brought new life and energy to the school and it shows.

Though I am working out more, losing 30 pounds is proving harder than I would like. But, I will persistent.

Well that's all for now. I will check in shortly.

Dominick Ruggieri

With November well on its way, much has been accomplished this year.

With the Academy remodel and building projects all complete.

I am rounding the final edits on the Hsing Yi Manual and will have that completed by the end of November.

I have cleaned up most of the database, with about another 1,000 accounts to review.

The social activity in the Academy is at an all time high. Starting with Tai Chi & Qigong Day, then Kuo Shu, Robs Kung Fu BBQ, Roz's Blueberry Picnic, Shifu's Black Sash Anniversary Surprise Part, then finishing the year with a Christmas Party at Stephanie. WOW!!!

Al and Randy made there 1st Degree Black Sashes with Jerry, Kurt and some more on the way.

So we are going good...
