Guang Ping Yang Tai Chi Yang Lu ChanYang Lu Chan, also spelled or known as: Lu-chan, Lu-ch'an, Lu-Shan, Fu-Kuai, or Fu-k'uei, was born in 1799 and died 1872. He was born in Yong Nian Xian, Guang Ping County, Hebei Province. He had three sons: Yang Ch'i, Qi or Feng-hou, Yang Chien, Chien-hou, Jian, or Jian-hou, and Yang Yu, Ban Hou, or Pan-hou. Yang Lu Chan was from Hebei and traveled to the Chen Village on Honan to learn Tai Chi. Yang Lu Chan learned his Tai Chi from the Chen Family where he studied for some 18 years. Yang Lu Chan went on to be nicknamed "Yang the Invincible" as he never lost one fight. Yang Qi died at a very young age, Yang Pan Hou and Yang Chien Hou succeeded there father to pass on Tai Chi. Yang Pan Hou had very few students and was not a popular teacher, his brother Chien Hou was much more popular and had many more students.
